The Story
A sparkling wine produced using the Charmat method involves blending Vidal (65%), Riesling (25%), Muscat Ottonel (6%), and Morio Muscat (4%) to create a unique cuvée. This blend undergoes a second fermentation in a sealed tank, which generates the bubbles. After fermentation, the wine is clarified, a dosage is added, and it is then bottled under pressure to maintain its effervescence.
